SCHOOL AUTHOR VISITS

Students get excited when an author comes to visit them. They want to read more and write more. 

I'm available for talks or workshops on a wide variety of subjects relevant to school-age writers. These can range from single or double-period workshops to longer residential retreats.

I also run and moderate an email list for school-age writers, providing them with an forum for sharing ideas, asking questions, and supporting each other's work. This is an invaluable ongoing resource, and it's free!

Because I'm a younger author, I find I engage well with high school students. I also have experience in a wide variety of formats, including freelance journalism, corporate and technical writing, poetry, stage and screen plays, and of course novels. Because of this I have many insights that are useful to those thinking about a 'real-world' writing career.
